In plain English: Everything we publish is educational research, not legal, tax, immigration, or financial advice. Our prices are fixed and shown up front. Digital products carry a 14-day “make it right” promise. The $297 personal plan is final once delivered — that’s why we show you a sample before you pay. 1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover ceburetiree.com and everything we sell here. By using the site or buying from us, you agree to them. If anything is unclear, email us before you buy. We would rather answer a question than surprise you.

2. Educational research, not professional advice

The Cebu Retiree shares practical, educational research about living in Cebu, current as of 2026, written by our team on the ground. We are not immigration lawyers, tax advisors, or financial planners, and nothing on this site is legal, tax, immigration, investment, or medical advice. That includes our pages about the SRRV (the Special Resident Retiree’s Visa), Social Security, healthcare, and banking. For legal or tax specifics, we’ll always tell you to confirm with a licensed professional — and you should. Our full Disclaimer page has the details.

3. What we don’t do

We don’t sell real estate, and we take no commission from any landlord, developer, or anyone else. We also don’t file visa applications for you or represent you before any government office.

4. Prices, products, and refunds

Every price we charge is published on this site. Refunds work by product type:

• Digital products — the guide ($29) and the map ($39). If it wasn’t useful, email us within 14 days and we’ll make it right.
• Your Philippines Plan ($297). Every plan is researched and written by hand for your situation. We show you a sample and the table of contents before you pay, so you know exactly what you’re getting. All sales are final once your plan is delivered — that’s why we show you the sample first.
• The Cebu Relocation Call ($99). The $99 comes right off the price if you go further with our Soft Landing service.
• Soft Landing services ($249 to $1,497). Fixed price, no surprise fees. Cancel 4 weeks or more before your start date and your deposit comes back in full. Inside 4 weeks, email us and we’ll work out fair terms based on the work already done.
• Scouting trips ($399 to $1,499). A 50% deposit books your dates, and the balance is due before we start.

5. How payment works

We accept card or PayPal, through our payment partners. For digital products, Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record — the legal seller named on your receipt. You will always see the exact amount before you pay. There are no subscriptions and no auto-renewals unless a page says so plainly.

We never ask for wire transfers, gift cards, or cryptocurrency. If anyone claiming to be us asks for those, it isn’t us. Close the message and forward it to hello@ceburetiree.com.

6. Your digital purchases

Guides, maps, and plans are for your personal use — yours and your household’s. Please don’t republish, resell, or share them publicly. That’s what keeps our prices low.

7. Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep our research accurate and current, but prices, rules, and conditions in the Philippines change. Decisions about moving, money, visas, and housing are yours to make, with licensed professionals where it matters. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you. If consumer law says we can’t limit something, that law wins.

8. If something goes wrong

Email us first. Most problems are fixable in one or two messages, and we would rather fix them than argue. We operate from the Philippines and serve customers mainly in the United States.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as our products change. The current version always lives on this page, with the date below.
